LEGO 10240 Red Five X-wing Starfighter
This new set has a total of 1,558 pieces and it will retail in the US for $199.99 CA $ 249.99, DE € 199.99, and UK £ 169.99. This is indeed a great a collectors set. The detail in this set is mind-blowing and also its size. This beast measures a whopping 10″ (26cm) high, 20″ (52cm) long and 18″ (46cm) wide! That huge!
This UCS set comes with one and only one minifigure being the iconic R2-D2. LEGO did a great job with the use of the pieces. From very far away this looks like a real X-Wing. I really like how the used tiles on the wings for the red markings.
Just like every other UCS you have your classic black stand with a plate packed with information of the X-Wing fighter and on top of that you have the X-Wing. For those who are interested in when this set will come out we are looking at a possible release this May 2013. So stay tuned for updates on this new beast!

First Starship Explosion Test
Went and bought some fireworks from Gemini in Albuquerque. Made a few explosion scenes last night for the new LEGO film.
The first ship explosion test had a bigger explosion than I thought! The pieces flew everywhere and one LEGO brick hit me in the hand. Hard stuff! My daughter and I looked around for the parts but could not find them. But searched today (in the daylight) and found some of the pieces.
I can't remember what firecracker we used, but it was a nice one! It smokes at first, then explodes. Like I said, "I did not plan for the pieces to fly like that LOL!"
Our first short film should be done within a few days.

LEGO "Titan X" Test
1/2/13, 3:30pm. We tested the new "Titan X" robot today. Test failed. The robot fell over from just a level 3 ground test. The robot needs to be much heavier.

LEGO Cloaking Device Test
12/29/12, 12:31pm. Today we tested the cloaking device for the new "RG3 Starship Fighter". The test was successful. The ship is only 1/4 complete but should be completely built within 3 days.
