Went and bought some fireworks from Gemini in Albuquerque. Made a few explosion scenes last night for the new LEGO film.
The first ship explosion test had a bigger explosion than I thought! The pieces flew everywhere and one LEGO brick hit me in the hand. Hard stuff! My daughter and I looked around for the parts but could not find them. But searched today (in the daylight) and found some of the pieces.
I can't remember what firecracker we used, but it was a nice one! It smokes at first, then explodes. Like I said, "I did not plan for the pieces to fly like that LOL!"
Our first short film should be done within a few days.
